one of the most beautiful hiking trails of Austria becomes a lake depth of 10 meters for about half the time.
At the foot of the mountain Hochschwab, Green Lake is one of the strangest phenomena in the world. During the cold winter months, this place used as a park in the country, from hikers who come to spend time away from the urban chaos.
But once temperatures rise, snow and ice ......covers the mountains begins to melt and the water poured down, filling a bowl with crystal clear waters.
Water levels go from 1-2 meters to over 10 feet in early summer. The waters of Green Lake is highest in June, when this great place becomes a meeting place for divers now want to see what looks like a normal park is submerged. Fish swim on wooden benches, an underwater forest, trees, roads and bridges, creating a surreal setting that looks like it belongs in a world out of the water. And that is precisely the winter months.
Even the trees are blooming underwater!
